Why Satoshi? A question some of you are probably pondering. What was it that actually compelled me to go to the trouble of creating a web site dedicated entirely to Satoshi himself? Well, that is a very good question indeed and one that I don't mind answering in the least. The simple answer is, Satoshi is my favourite character in the anime. Why is he my favourite? Well, Satoshi has a good heart and he is very sweet and nice to others. He has a strong bond with his Pokémon, particularly Pikachu, and he cares deeply for them, as well as his friends and family. He is a caring and selfless person with a heart of gold, basically. Also, Satoshi is just adorable and he's very good looking too. In the beginning of the anime, Satoshi was such a clueless dork and it was pretty amusing to see at times. He was so energetic and hot tempered. Nowadays, he's matured and isn't quite as rash and impulsive as he used to be, but I still love him to bits. Also, Satoshi makes an amazing action hero. He does all sorts of crazy, reckless things and will happily risk his life to save others who are in danger. His selfless and courageous nature is quite admirable indeed.
Satoshi goes into action hero mode in Movie 9 ^.^ So, yeah, I shamelessly fangirl him. So much, that I just had to make a site for him. All the Satoshi sites out there seem to be dead or mostly inactive, so I had to jump in with a new site dedicated to Satoshi himself. He really does need more sites about himself! Though, I admit there are times I have been annoyed at Satoshi, but those are few and far between, I swear. What times? Well, he was very annoying and bratty sometimes. He even had the nerve to try and tell Akira's Pokémon to abandon him in one episode. Of course, Satoshi wouldn't do that now. In fact, he was really shocked when Shinji let go of Hikozaru, even though Shinji had practically been abusing the poor monkey (so of course Satoshi offered Hikozaru a new home ^.^) Also, in another episode, he tried to tell Doctor Doku not to help out Roketto-dan's injured Pokémon because they belonged to Roketto-dan (but Doctor Doku scolded him for that and he was sorry, so that was okay...) Speaking of Roketto-dan, I think Satoshi can be just a little hard on them sometimes, but you have to remember they have been stalking him for years and trying to steal Pikachu. He has every right to get annoyed with them. So Satoshi has a few faults (he's not terribly intelligent, he forgets things all the time, he used to be rather rash and could be a little bratty in the past as well as having a bit of a temper problem) but those just add to his charm. Just imagine, without those personality quirks of his... he would be Hiroshi. *shudder* That doesn't even bear thinking about. And... that's why I like Satoshi, and made a site for him!
